What is Vector Art? Vector art is created using lines and points, vs. raster art which is made up of pixels. Vector art is completely scalable, compared to raster art which will become distorted if resized too much. Take a look at the example below for a better understanding.     Above is a vector image created with lines and points.    Above is the same image in raster form, made up of pixels   This is the vector image, scaled to 300% it's original size. Notice the lines remain clean and smooth. This is the raster image scaled to 300% it's original size. Notice how the pixels are beginning to become distorted. Vector art is the preferred format for commercial printing whether it be for screenprinting, vinyl cutting, or printing on paper or a number of other mediums. Your artwork will print with a sharp, clear, concise print, compared to printing with raster art which will many times give a blurry, distorted look to your final print job.
